Minister of Federal Capital Territory, His Excellency, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS (Africa)
The Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against engaging in a political confrontation with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Ayodele advised President Tinubu to avoid any dispute with Wike and resolve any disagreement between them through dialogue, stressing that the FCT Minister would not back down if confronted politically.
The cleric gave the warning while speaking on the political developments surrounding Wike and his emerging political alliance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to Ayodele, Tinubu should be cautious about his relationship with Wike because of the political structure the former Rivers State governor has been building across different political interests.
He warned that any attempt to fight Wike could trigger a political battle that may have consequences for the President’s 2027 re-election campaign.
“Tinubu, please don’t ever try to fight Wike. If there is any dispute, settle it,” Ayodele warned.
He added that if the President chose to confront Wike, the FCT Minister would fight back, potentially creating political complications for the administration ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
“If you try to fight Wike, Wike will definitely fight you back and you may lose 2027 elections fast fast,” the cleric stated.
Ayodele also drew attention to Wike’s political alliance, popularly referred to as the Rainbow Coalition, urging the President to take the group seriously as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.
“Fear this Wike Rainbow Coalition,” he said, while advising President Tinubu to maintain a strong political relationship with the FCT Minister.
The warning comes amid growing political discussions surrounding Wike’s role in the 2027 elections and his relationship with different political actors.
Wike has publicly maintained his support for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, while also defending the political coalition associated with him. Recent reports have also highlighted disagreements between Wike and some political figures within the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Ayodele’s latest comments are part of his continuing public pronouncements on Nigeria’s political developments ahead of the 2027 elections. His statements about future political outcomes are predictions and should not be treated as established electoral facts.
The cleric had also recently spoken about Wike’s Rainbow Coalition, describing it as a political structure that could have relevance beyond the immediate political cycle and warning Wike about the challenges surrounding his political ambitions.
